Position Summary

All Secured Security Services is seeking an experienced Senior Locksmith to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in commercial and institutional locksmithing, electronic access control hardware, and integrated security systems. The Senior Locksmith serves as both a lead technician and technical mentor, performing advanced locksmith services while ensuring projects are completed safely, professionally, and in accordance with industry standards. The ideal candidate possesses excellent mechanical aptitude, outstanding customer service skills, and the ability to solve complex physical security challenges.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, and replace commercial and residential locksets, deadbolts, panic hardware, exit devices, closers, and door hardware.
• Install and maintain master key systems, interchangeable core systems, and high-security key systems.
• Rekey locks, originate keys, duplicate restricted keys, and maintain key control records.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electronic locking hardware, electric strikes, magnetic locks, delayed egress devices, and electrified door hardware.
• Install and integrate hardware for access control systems from leading manufacturers.
• Diagnose and repair door alignment, frame, hinge, latch, and hardware issues affecting secure operation.
• Perform safe opening, lock repair, combination changes, and safe lock replacement when required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, door schedules, hardware schedules, and security specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, facility managers, and customers throughout project execution.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist with technical training and quality assurance.
• Ensure installations comply with manufacturer specifications, building codes, ADA requirements, life safety codes, and applicable fire regulations.
• Maintain detailed service documentation, inventory records, and customer reports.
• Participate in emergency service calls and after-hours support as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of professional locksmith experience.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial door hardware and physical security systems.
• Experience with:
  • Master Key Systems
  • High Security Lock Systems
  • Interchangeable Core Systems
  • Exit Devices and Panic Hardware
  • Door Closers
  • Electric Strikes
  • Magnetic Locks
  • Electrified Door Hardware
  • Installation of Safes and Service of Safe Hardware
• Experience installing and servicing electronic lock systems.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and hardware schedules.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and construction sites.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• ALOA certification or equivalent locksmith certification.
• Experience with Medeco, ASSA ABLOY, Schlage, Sargent, Best, Corbin Russwin, Allegion, or similar commercial hardware manufacturers.
• Experience with low-voltage wiring and access control integration.
• Familiarity with IP-based security systems.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience working in healthcare, education, government, or critical infrastructure facilities.
