Position Summary
All Secured Security Services is seeking a skilled Low Voltage & Systems Integration Technician to install, configure, maintain, and service integrated security and low-voltage systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, government, and public safety clients.This position requires a motivated technician with experience in physical security technologies, structured cabling, network-connected devices, and electronic system integration. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, professional, and committed to delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, label, test, and certify copper and fiber optic low-voltage cabling.
- Install and configure commercial video surveillance (CCTV) systems, including IP cameras, NVRs, video management software, and analytics platforms.
- Install and commission electronic access control systems, including:
- Card readers
- Credential technologies
- Electric strikes
- Magnetic locks
- Electrified door hardware
- Request-to-exit devices
- Door position switches
- Install, service, and troubleshoot intrusion detection and alarm systems.
- Install audiovisual systems including displays, speakers, amplifiers, conferencing equipment, and digital signage.
- Perform equipment rack installation, cable management, and system labeling in accordance with industry best practices.
- Configure IP-enabled devices, switches, network appliances, and basic VLAN/network settings.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair system failures using diagnostic equipment and software.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, wiring diagrams, floor plans, and specifications.
- Coordinate installations with project managers, electricians, IT personnel, contractors, and end users.
- Complete installation documentation, service reports, as-built drawings, and quality control checklists.
- Maintain company vehicle, inventory, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in after-hours service calls and scheduled maintenance as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience installing commercial low-voltage systems.
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Video Surveillance (IP CCTV)
- Access Control Systems
- Intrusion Detection Systems
- Audio/Visual Systems
- Structured Cabling
- Intercom Systems
- Emergency Communications
- Ability to terminate and certify Category 5e, Category 6, Category 6A, and fiber optic cabling.
- Experience installing conduit, cable tray, J-hooks, surface raceway, and cable support systems.
- Knowledge of NEC requirements applicable to low-voltage installations.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work on ladders, lifts, rooftops, and construction sites.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.
