Position Summary

All Secured Security Services is seeking a skilled Door & Structural Systems Installer to join our installation team. This position is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial doors, frames, architectural hardware, physical security barriers, and structural security systems in commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, government, and public safety facilities.

The ideal candidate has experience working with commercial construction, metal doors and frames, architectural hardware, storefront systems, and physical security products. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver quality workmanship while maintaining a safe job site.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial hollow metal doors, wood doors, aluminum storefront doors, and specialty security doors.
• Install welded and knock-down steel door frames in new construction and retrofit applications.
• Install and adjust commercial door hardware, including:
  • Continuous hinges
  • Butt hinges
  • Panic and exit devices
  • Door closers
  • Automatic door operators
  • Thresholds
  • Weather stripping
  • Door coordinators
  • Protection plates
• Install and service fire-rated door assemblies in accordance with NFPA and manufacturer specifications.
• Install storefront systems, glazing components, and associated architectural hardware.
• Install physical security products including security grilles, rolling doors, bollards, fencing, gates, crash-rated barriers, and protective enclosures.
• Perform modifications to doors, frames, walls, and structural openings as required.
• Drill, anchor, weld, cut, grind, and fabricate components for secure installations.
• Install conduit sleeves, backing, and mounting hardware to support integrated security equipment.
• Coordinate with locksmiths, low-voltage technicians, electricians, and project managers during integrated installations.
• Read blueprints, shop drawings, hardware schedules, and installation specifications.
• Troubleshoot door operation, alignment, hardware performance, and structural deficiencies.
• Complete installation documentation, inspection reports, and quality control checklists.
• Maintain company tools, vehicles, equipment, and inventory.
• Travel to customer locations throughout Central Ohio and surrounding areas.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial door, construction, or architectural hardware installation experience.
• Experience installing:
  • Hollow metal doors and frames
  • Aluminum storefront systems
  • Commercial hardware
  • Fire-rated door assemblies
  • Security doors
  • Door closers
  • Exit devices
• Ability to operate power tools, grinders, hammer drills, rotary hammers, saws, and other construction equipment.
• Experience reading blueprints and construction drawings.
• Strong mechanical and carpentry skills.
• Ability to safely lift 75 pounds and work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.

• Automatic door operators (ASSA ABLOY, Horton, Stanley, Nabco, Dormakaba)
• Security gates and rolling steel doors
• Access control door preparation
• Welding and light metal fabrication
• Concrete anchoring systems
• Structural steel modifications
• Commercial glazing
• ADA door compliance
• Fire door inspections and repairs
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
• Forklift and aerial lift certification.
